Jepp Valve - A benefit to everyone
The Jepp Valve enables the simple topping up of the heating system without the stress of over pressurising your system.
If a filling loop is not closed properly it can lead to the system being filled to 3 bar at which point when the boiler fires up and the water starts to expand and cause the boiler safety pressure relief valve to release water.
This causes the introduction of fresh water and removing the inhibitor that protects the system, also the excess pressure will shorten the life of the boiler in many ways.
Heating Installer / Engineer
By adding the Jepp Valve to your installations along with magnetic filters and scale reducers you give your customer a complete package which will aid in the longevity of the boiler along with your yearly services.
The additional benefit of the Jepp Valve allows you to use the optional Jepp valve clip which will hold the button down so the system will charge to 1.4 bar, so while you purge the air from the radiators/ system you don’t need to keep opening a filling loop and can just move from room to room at your leisure with no risk of over pressurizing.
Landlords and Housing Associations
It is common practice to not leave the filling loop in the tenants property or for them to misplace it, By installing the Jepp Valve you will avoid the need for engineers to attend properties for the simple issue of topping up a heating system. We have had contact with local authorities and they have said that at least 10% of their daily jobs are just topping up combi boilers. Installing the Jepp Valve while upgrading boilers or during their yearly service will over time save on call out costs.
The tenant will be able to top up their system without risk of damaging it.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
I have moved 2 hours away from my parents and when the pressure dropped on their combination I had to call a plumber out just to top it up at £60 a time.
I was told about the Jepp Valve by one of the heating engineers and I got him to fit one.
Now my parents are happier as they can top the system without any issues and it gives them one less thing to worry about.
A G Gas Installations
I installed a system boiler for a couple who are less abled and I find myself popping over and topping up their system when the pressure drops which can be a couple of times a year, as they can’t use the filling loop and are scared if someone else puts too much pressure into the boiler, this is not always convenient for them as if it’s cold maybe the next day when I get there.
I have now fitted a Jepp Valve and they can easily top up the pressure on their own safe in the knowledge it will not go over 1.4bar.
